Recently, Apple being the world’s greatest brand for all its products that are on a huge demand. Apple few weeks ago has demanded Samsung to pay an additional amount for infringement the patents related to Samsung phones which were sold earlier in the year 2012.
While Samsung has agreed to pay the amount which was demanded by Apple and Samsung was not involved in the fork of money which was given without a fight.
The amount was very huge but it was satisfied and given that the products in this case were already outdated by the time of trial in 2012.
Just over a week, Samsung paid $548 million for the patents and the designs on the iPhone. Apple has forced the U.S court to pay its biggest rival smartphone to cough up even more.
The court has filed papers recently on Wednesday, saying that Apple owes $180 million from Samsung regarding supplemental damages and interest. It was not clear about which Samsung model handsets were involved in filing.
Samsung devices that infringed Apple’s patents were sold, they were totally five devices that Samsung has sold after 2012 verdict finding Samsung liable in the dispute.
Representatives belonging to Apple and Samsung could not be reached for the comments as early when it was announced.
This dispute dates back to the year 2011 when Apple had sued Samsung which was alleging South Korean electronics company that has violated its patents and copied back to the look of iPhone.
Immediately after the verdict of the year 2012, Samsung was ordered to pay $930 million to Apple.
U.S court has stripped about $382 million from the total amount saying that Cupertino, which was California based Apple was not perfect for the phone’s through trademarks. Therefore, Samsung paid Apple the judgement of $548.2 million on bulk.
