A new law has been ruled for companies and bosses have the right to read their workers’ private messages during work hours!!

European employees should think carefully about using the internet to send private messages during work hours as European Court Of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled a firm that companies should monitor online communications of worker’s.

A Romanian engineer was fired in the year 2007, as he was using his Yahoo chat messenger to chat with his professional and personal contacts, discovered about company policies. A case was resolved against him regarding this issue.

Any MultiNational Company does not entertain its employees to use any sort of social networking sites for personal use which is against the company’s norms and policies.

Any employee who violates this law will be terminated. According to the European Court of Human Rights, had violated the right to confidential correspondence, the court would be unreasonable that any employee would want to verify that employees were completing their tasks earlier and, later on, continue with personal surfing.

As we discuss in most of the companies these are common for employees like employees complete their work within the time duration, and start browsing about their personal issues which are not to be disclosed during office hours.

After many warnings and counselings, they tend to do and continue using it on their smartphones. So, this law should be applicable in India also as most of the companies are still not yet that particular about their company’s norms, unlike the European country.

Personal life and professional life both are completely different. So, you should not even try to think about mingling each other. Computer life is professional and employees cannot take it for granted.

Personal life should also not be discussed in the office. We are only to give our best about what we have learnt.
