Generation of social awareness is the most rewarding marketing scenario in social media giants like Facebook for small business companies, as a new survey has proved. It has also been found out that among all SMBs who advertise on mass social media sites, the majority of them spend even less than $ 50 for advertisements.

    Details about the survey

The survey polled more than 1200 local small to medium businesses. Most of them were from North America having less than 50 employees to run the company. They represented a state of both B2C and B2B marketers along with multiple verticals.

After all the hype and awareness, the second most “successful” SMBs falling in the category were of “generating new business”. Meanwhile other such data surveys prove that Facebook and other social media websites is an effective channel while 3 quarters of most SMBs do not house any tools for tracking their digital marketing performance.

Moreover, it has been found that most of the SMBs were using Facebook and its promotional tools exclusively. Among those who were investing and advertising on the social media giant, Facebook, more than 61 % of them were spending even less than $ 50 per month.

    The conclusion

Previously, in the local business surveys, it was found that around 19 % SMBs had paid quite a lot for social media and other advertising. But recently it has gone to a decline and SMBs have to pay much less for successful advertising on social media which is turning out to be profitable for both the sides. Social media Giants like Facebook and Google+ are earning quite a lot keeping their rates low as it is attracting more and more SMBs to their sites for advertising. With passing time, more and more SMBs are investing on these giants for a huge profit margin as approximately over a billion people use Facebook per minute and more than 30 % of them see the add at a time
