Functioning of the device –
- The device is named as SAFER – a device which is designed especially for all the women in regards to safety.
- A designed pendant, bracelet along with a key-chain is a small circular device.
- Any Women who senses a threatening situation, around her needs to double click the device SAFER that is attached to the jewellery.
- The app will therefore send an alert to the weaver’s network. Weaver’s network might be your friends, family.
- They get the alert through an SMS on the phone or through the app. Now this app contains a GPS location that will function through and you can enter time and location of the current destination.
- In this way, your friends and family can track your position and movement at the entire time. The device SAFER also shows nearby police stations and hospitals to your current destination.
- The cost of the jewellery is affordable that ranges from Rs 3500 to Rs 5000. Company says that they have sold more than 5000 pieces in Turkey. Company’s goal is to reach out one million by the end of 2017.
