Any device with even a little tendency to catch fire is a huge risk on aircraft. So the aviation industry has banned the use of Note 7 on flights in the powered on mode. Airlines are now announcing a verbal warning to passengers for not using Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on the plane.

Samsung Electronics has now stopped the sale of the phone and initiated a “product exchange program”. Under this program, the Samsung customers allow customers to exchange their phone as soon as possible. Samsung Electronics have now given the responsibility to receive rental phones for temporary use through Samsung’s service centers. According to new Samsung plan, Galaxy Note 7 with new batteries will be available from September 19 in South Korea.

Just two weeks, after the launch of Galaxy Note 7, the company announced the unprecedented recall of 2.5 million phones. The reason behind multiple cases of mobile catching fire is the rechargeable lithium batteries manufactured by one of its suppliers. After these recent incidents of mobile catching fire, The Air Line Pilots Association urges the need for greater control on shipment of lithium batteries.
