There are some iPhone users in China who claims that they are being unknowingly connected by some AceDeceiver malware. This is mainly happening with the non-jail broken iPhone users in China. These hackers will make you feel that you are purchasing an app from the App store, but actually they are deducting money from your credit cards without offering you the app.
Although this malware is being removed from the i OS App Store but surprisingly it is still managing to install itself by abusing a flaw in Apple’s DRM design. With this incidence, it makes the users think that whether they should go to the Apple’s App Store to purchase any app or not!! Many people have raised their voice against the same thing that after the whole incident, later they realize that they didn’t get the app even though money has been deducted from their account.
As per the report of the Daily Star: “A technique used for installing pirated iOS apps onto non-jailbroken Apple devices have now been deployed by criminals looking to compromise user accounts. Security firm Palo Alto Networks recently discovered what it’s calling a new family of iOS malware that’s capable of infecting non-jailbroken (stock) devices.”
Well, I would say that this is not the first time, iPhone users have fallen prey to hacks like this. Earlier, a few months back also, a malware known as ‘XcodeGhost’ affected almost 85 legitimate iPhone apps which includes Freedom Battle, We Chat, Guitar Master, WinZip, Hot stock market, Poor tour and lots more….
However, the app malware failed to have the details and other credential of the users which allows the hackers to have only the limited access. They only get the information regarding the iPhone owner’s credit card and accounts.
