Artificial intelligence has brought the rise of the Robotic world that may possess some real threats to the humans. Many tech giants of the world have joined hands together to bring the rise of artificial intelligence and robotics. It is estimated that robots will walk among us in just 20 years and will be able to do our daily tasks with us. Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft and IBM are now working together to oversee research in AI. DeepMind/Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft and IBM have made a partnership to address the challenges and benefits associated with the artificial intelligence. All these five tech giants are now deeply involved in the artificial intelligence research. Amazon has already developed a voice-controlled personal robot called Echo and also offers web developer’s machine learning capabilities. Google also has a machine can process information like a human brain that is known by name DeepMind and IBM too has Watson. Companies are developing tech nannies to help the people in their household work. Robots in near future will play with us, cook with us, wash our clothes, drive our car and do almost every necessary household work for us. Tech nannies or robots will be entirely beneficial for the old people as they can help them to do all their daily tasks.
Weak AI and Strong AIÂ
Artificial intelligence basically falls into two categories weak AI and Strong AI. Weak AI or also called narrow AI that focuses only on narrow task as it is a non-sentient program. At the other end is full AI or strong AI that doesn’t fully exist yet but it will get the full range of human cognitive abilities, once it gets fully functional. We have already seen the rise of artificial intelligence and AI in various Hollywood movies such as Her, Chappie, The Terminator and Ex Machina and now all this is becoming reality.
Microsoft’s artificial chatbot TayÂ
We have already seen the worst effects of AI with the Microsoft’s Twitter bot namely Tay that has done some pretty wacky things. After the launch of this artificial chatbot Tay, it began unleashing racist and inflammatory tweets that thus had to be deleted. Tay had learned many offensive things within just 24 hours from the people and posted it on twitter.
Furthermore, robots will now take the place of taxi drivers too in very soon time and all this will surely cause massive human unemployment on the earth. All the five tech giants Microsoft, IBM, Google, Facebook, and Amazon have done a non-profit partnership on AI to advance or enhance the people understanding of AI. All these five companies are contribution equal resources and money to enhance the development of AI for the benefits of society and people. Artificial intelligence certainly holds the potential to improve human life but the end results cannot be predicted.
