A Chinese search engine “Baidu” namely referred as Chinese Google is also planning to launch driverless car as its counterpart. The company has planned to deploy self-run autonomous vehicles by 2020 in the market. The vehicles will be powered by ‘Baidu Technology’ itself and the power form will be available in the market in 2018.

‘Baidu Technology’ is a well-known search engine of China. The company’s chief executive Robin Li reported a sharp rise in company revenue in the first quarter of the present year. The income reported as 15.82 billion Yuan in three months of the present year because there is a flow of ads to their search engine.
Robin Li defined during a conference call, “We had a terrific start to 2016, this quarter we made notable progress in executing our mission in users with information and services.”
He also added,” But there is a solid of 18.9 percent year-on-year to USD 308.1 million in net profit for the quarter, the even firm seeks the opportunity to diversify its business beyond online. We believe there are multiple platforms to explore and autonomous vehicles are the first step towards revolution based on computing.”

Earlier ‘Google’ announced a self-driving car in which no driver seat and steering wheel will be installed. ‘Baidu’ a Chinese version of Google is also doing heavy investments in different prospects varying from online billing to offline payment.
