An app that blocks third parties from identifying user’s location based on what they search online, this app was developed by a team of researchers at a US university.
The team also received a best paper award at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Globecom Conference in San Diego.
Assistant professor of computer and electrical engineering said that it is really attached to our daily life, the trend that is going on nowadays, should be updated and the results of searches for people to be connected on smartphones should be well protected which can help them to provide some security.
The generation is changing and people are getting more and more updated to new technologies, as a result, this app will surely be useful to users by providing security.
Many social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn have a huge amount of data stored to the service providers every day. If we consider in particular we upload location information, day to day updates and also photos to the internet without any security and protection, and this information is used in a very bad way by the hackers who are always ready to hack the sites.
In this way your useful information updated might get corrupted and also can be used in a bad way. When we upload any of our personal information on the internet, we cannot give any guarantee that it can be controlled. Instead, it can be searched and used for malicious purposes. Therefore, we are trying to put more efficient and feasible solution for such kind of insecurity so that your information is secured.
Smartphones send data to the servers in the backend of local searches, foodie apps and GPS directions. If further, the app developed by the team of researchers could also help hiding that information also.
