The Indian Railways Minister has launched a new service for trains known as “Clean My Coach Service” which will ensure cleanliness in trains.
Indian Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has launched this service on 11th of March 2016 through video conferencing Mumbai Central/Western Railway, Lucknow Jn/North Eastern Railway and Rail Bhawan with New Delhi/Northern Railway.
Minister of State for Railways Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha was also present on this occasion.
It was implemented immediately on Rail Budget. Indian Railways is improving day by day to satisfy the passengers as Railways are connected with every citizen of this country.
It is important for Railways to maintain a clean and neat environment around its premises.
Railways should be maintained if in case foreign tourists visit India, should take good memories of comfort travelling in Indian trains.
Indian Railways are also on the Fast Track in the field of Cleanliness, Coach Designs, Digitalization, Passenger Amenities, On Board Services, Social Media and Mechanized Laundries etc.
Features of the Clean My Coach Service –
As per any requirement of service in the coach, while travelling, passenger needs to send an SMS to a mobile number 58888.
Another alternative, passengers can log in the website “cleanmycoach.com “ or can also use their android app ‘Clean my Coach Indian Railways’.
This request made by the passenger is immediately acknowledged via SMS on the mobile phone along with a code.
Dustbins are also provided in non-AC coaches.
A message is sent to the mobile number of the On Board HouseKeeping (OBHS) staff travelling on the same train along with the details of the passengers. Details such as berth number, coach number.
The staff contacts the passengers, carries out the cleaning work as per demand.
If the passenger is satisfied, he discloses the code. If the passenger is not satisfied, he/she doesn’t disclose the code and the complaint is treated as not closed.
