Moto G 2nd Generation With New FeaturesMotorola starts rolling out the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow system which is the popular 2nd generation Moto G phone. This update of Android will roll out Over The Air (OTA) and also will install with the existing 5.0.2 update.

If any notifications are not available on your phone, then manually check the system update entry in phone settings.

Here are the top features to be used in Marshmallow:-

Expandable storage – In Marshmallow, the SD card can be configured to extend the phone’s own internal memory. This is not useful for the apps that are installed in the main memory which would lead in depleting storage space.

An important point is that the SD card gets encrypted for use with the phone itself Instead it cannot be used and removed as a normal SD card unless it is being re-formatted.

App standby – Users are eligible to configure specific apps that use the new optimized mode, you can enable them in a reduced activity state when you are not using it which directly results in extended battery life.

Now on Tap – This is the main key Marshmallow feature, the feature that was debuted at Google I/O. Keeping the home button pressed provides results from Google. At present, the app is currently running.

Let’s consider for an example if you receive an address via Whatsapp, this feature will immediately suggest you to open Google Maps and also add the address to your address book.

Do not disturb – This is also one of the features that the phone’s notifications and ringtone are more configured to allow only priority contact calls and sound alarms to go totally silent. This feature is especially useful for meetings and other important events.

App permissions – During the app installation phase, permissions are usually seen and users can choose what permissions are needed to be allowed and denied for that app.
