Change of Pop-up Box for Windows 10 Up-gradation
Microsoft is severely being criticized for the change made by them in the pop-up box that starts windows 10 up-gradation.
In the very start when Microsoft launched windows 10, it started a pop-up box in windows 8. This was aimed at making users to up- grade their operating system to window 10. In beginning the Pop-up Box had a red cross that could be used to reject the offer. Now, this Red Cross does not stop or reject the offer rather it starts up gradation to windows 10.
This has actually made confusion for users who were supposed to use the Red Cross for the purpose of cancellation.
Basically, the change has occurred due to label that says upgrade to be recommended. Many users have their computers configured in a way that they accept any recommended offer. This is the reason why cancellation does not work and up-gradation begins.
Microsoft’s Reply to Accusations
Microsoft has objected the accusation of using Nasty Trick. It says that it is still possible to cancel the up-gradation when to schedule time actually begins. The company also responded that Free Window up-gradation offer will last on 29 July. It wants that users switch to the latest and most supportive version free of cost. This is because sooner or later customers have to replace the older versions with a new one.
It was also told in October that Windows 10 Up-Gradation offer will be given as recommended update. It was up to customers whether they wanted to decline or accept the offer.
The senior Editor of the PC world Website, Brad Chacos, had termed this act as a Nasty Trick. He wrote that such tricks simply create trouble for the long term window users who were already familiar with the previous system.
