The Research team of Microsoft are working on an innovative technology to make video calls feel less awkward. The tech giant’s are attempting, to put their Reality Chops. The research team is using projectors and cameras to capture an image of a person in a 3D room and project that life size version into another room onto a chair.
Video calling has the following features-
- Modern Apps that are used today by many users cannot bring a close connection feel while talking with friends or family members.
- A face to face interaction brings satisfaction to the user who is talking on mobile phones. A little more advanced with our phone screens we must learn about the next big thing of video calling that is coming on our way.
- Microsoft a brand is now showing off its Room2Room interaction of users with a life size projection.
- A digital projector is linked to the Microsoft Kinect scanner, the scanner scans the callers while the projectors work on the opposite side of the call creating a virtual presence of the distant user.
- The video calling system deals with furniture, also allowing users to sit opposite to each other so that they may comfortably speak though they are thousands of miles apart.
- Get the experience as if they are in a room with each other. It is a big production and imagination that came true.
- Just like a handset that is placed on the table in front of you, you would be chatting as in the same way like you ever used to do before.
- Presently, the researchers are working to improve the resolution of Room2Room imagery, augmented reality suggests that a commercial version may be ready in the next few years.
