    Honda Accord Hybrid Launched at Rs 37 Lakh

    The next generation Accord hybrid has been launched by Honda Cars in India at Rs 37 Lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. In 2013, the production of Accord has stopped by the Honda due to its low sales volume. This luxury sedan at that time was available only with a 3.5 litre V6 engine and a 2.4-litre four-cylinder. In the wake of emission and environment norms, this Japanese car manufacturer has downsized its engine. This new generation Accord comes with four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0 litre Atkinson cycle.

    Accord Hybrid Features

    It can churn out 175Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and have the ability to develop 143 hp of power. The battery and electric motor are developed on the basis of Honda’s Earth Dream technology. This consists of a 1.3kWh lithium-ion battery and has the ability to generate the maximum power of about 315 Nm of torque and 182 hp. The total output that a naturally aspirated and hybrid motor can produce is rated at 215 hp, paired to an e-CVT gearbox. The claimed fuel efficiency delivered by Accord Hybrid is 23.1 km/l. The newly launched Honda Accord directly competes with Toyota Camry Hybrid. Toyota Camry Hybrid has priced at Rs 30.90 Lakh and has a rated fuel economy of 19.16 km/l.

    Cabin Features

    Honda has launched this new car with a host of equipment, both in the cabinet and at the exterior. The exterior gets adaptive cornering lights, LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, chrome garnished slat at the front, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lamps and hill start to assist. Inside the cabin, it includes features like leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, 8-way power adjustable driver seat, 4-way power adjustable co-driver seat, auto dimming inner rear view mirror and Android Auto.

    Luxury and Safety Features

    Adding to luxury and convenience are rain-sensing wipers, electrically-operated sunroof, emergency stop signal, front and rear parking sensors. For safety, Honda has included ABS and EBD, 6 airbags, traction control, vehicle stability control and lane watch assist.
