On March 2017, Open Directory Project ( DMOZ ) officially shutdowns and Now Google decides not to use the DMOZ title and descriptions in search snippets as there source.
Sometimes Google used the meta description of DMOZ listing in search results when it feels the present description of DMOZ is more useful than the site descriptions.
As now the open directory is not actively maintained, Google comes with this decision.
With this announcement of Google, the “noodp” tag is now not required on the web pages like “meta keywords” tags that are also not considered by Google.
Google recommends the users to read this document to help Google to pick the best title and description in search results.
