Latest report by Borrell Associates reveals that companies will spend more than $65 billion on SEO in 2016.
The amount is the triple of amount that businesses used to spend in 2008. Borrell Associates started keeping track of the companies’ spend on SEO in the start of 2008.
The exact estimates of the Borrell agencies for SEO spend in 2016 mounted up to $65.26 billion. The agency further estimated that amount will rise to $72 billion in 2018 and $79.27 by 2020. It is said that smaller enterprises that are functional at local level are more likely to spend two third on SEO. In case of larger companies the trend of hiring third party services for SEO will be reduced. This is because such companies have already developed their own internal staff that is dedicated to Search Engine Optimization.
Other Investments for SEO
For SEO purpose more interesting investments would be seen in future. One such investment is going to be the Site Visitor Analysis. Agency estimates that the companies in USA will spend more than $1.49 billion on site visitor. This is because search engine optimization just for the purpose of increasing traffic is useless.

Another Interesting fact has come in case of Blog development. Borrell predicts the blog development to be the most expensive investment of 2016. This year is said to be the peak of investment in blog development. Almost $790 million will be spent on blog development in 2016. The amount will decline to $700 million in 2018.
