Bing Ads bans ads from third-party tech support services

    About these measures

“Microsoft is updating the global ad policy of Bing Ads because they want to disallow the advertisements of third-party technical support firms.”

Microsoft’s Bing Ads announced that they will no longer accept the advertisements of third-party technical support firms.

Bing blocked 25,000 sites and 15,000,000 ads for these scams. The purpose of these companies is to make them consumers to call for support. The scammer which is called by innocent people is lying that he’s representing a technological company and the caller’s computer has viruses, so he must pay good money to fix a problem that actually does not exist.

The Bing policy says that “advertisers can’t offer technical support for the services or the products which they don’t own and advertisers are not allowed to claim that they’re providing a service which could only be provided by the owner of that service or product.”

Six international technical support scammers were forced to pay fines totaling over $5,1 by the US state in 2014.

Google representatives have not yet taken action against these dangerous scammers, but there are no longer so many fraudulent companies present here.

The announcement of the big company Bing about blocking third-party technical support advertisements comes immediately after the announcement of Google’s representants which announced that they banned the ads high-interest loans and paydays.

These measures are very good because there shouldn’t be any fraud on the Internet. Many innocent people are duped and deceived; therefore, they lose hope in this technology.
