Moxi Group to Open up a New Era with Bendable Smartphones

In the wake of rumors that Samsung has its research centers struggling to come up with bendable screens, a small start-up company in China is rushing to make its fame be the first to release a flexible smartphone in the market sooner this year. Moxi group is a small start-up company in Chongqing and has released to the press the wonderful news that about hundred thousand phones will be released in the market later this year.

The company has released some interesting details about the phone which will hit the market at an approximate pricing of $765. The phone can be rolled like a bracelet and worn on the wrist and the touch screen will work just fine even in the curled condition. If you do not want to curl it up, you can simply make it into the rectangle form and use it like any other smartphone. The phones will be initially released only in China as reported by Chongsheng Yu, Vice President if Moxi Group.

The drawback reported is that the company has been able to develop the design only for black and white screen and researchers are underway for a color screen as they require more power usage. But yet, the start-up company will have made its say in the smartphone industry bragging about the first ever bendable smartphone.

The basic technique used lies behind the graphene technology. The unique arrangement of the carbon atoms makes it more flexible and conducts electricity too. The company has also taken a wise design by putting the battery, processor and others to the ends of the phone rather than spreading it behind the screen.

The concept all seems just fine, the real efficiency of the screen and its flexibility can be analyzed only after it is released.
